if only!! 

we could get a good animated movie based on a South Asian epic… please?

After stumbling across all that Siegfried art, I was thinking: I like all the Norse/Northern European stuff just fine, but could you imagine how beautiful a well-done graphic novel or animated movie on the Ramayana would be? South Asian cultures seem to be very much erased from (tasteful and respectful) representation and exploration in animation, unless someone wants to point me towards something I’m missing.

(I mean, there’s Arjun, but it looks absolutely… abysmal. booo.)
